Housing Action Teesside is a member-led union organising renters across the Tees Valley. In a short-time they have already had considerable success. This includes organising the residents of a tower-black, who won a nation-wide scheme to ensure energy bill support is available for collective contracts. Their current staff team are working flat out on vital case work. The Community Action Fund will help them hire a part-time organiser to focus on building power and winning change.
